Graduating from nursing school means you now qualify for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certificate. However, you must also pass two entry-to-practice exams to get the license to become a practicing nurse.

Introduction to the LPN-NCLEX Review Course

There's a minimum of 75 and a maximum of 265 questions in the NCLEX exam. Since it's a computer-adaptive test (CAT), the difficulty level of each question is determined by how well you did in the preceding questions.

The Clinical Component

The clinical component of the NCLEX prep course is further divided into four components.

· Phycological Integrity

Also known as psychosocial integrity, this component walks graduate-level nurses through handling patients while ensuring their comfort and well-being. When you comply with psychological integrity—the most basic type of support—your patients will be more open to sharing potential health issues, preventing future complications and reducing the risks.

· Detection of Health Issues

Under this subcategory, nurses are taught how to detect general health and maintenance problems in the early stages, including high-risk attitudes and accountability for potential underlying problems. You can expect to learn about the following during this stage:

· Newborn care

· Postpartum care

· Disease prevention and treatment

· Data recording

· Safe Environment

Infection prevention and control practices is the last subcategory under the clinical component. It teaches you how to report outbreaks, infections, and injuries in a medical setting.

Furthermore, you're also taught the proper protocol for using medical equipment around certain injuries and infections during emergencies.

Closing Remarks on the LPN-NCLEX Program
